my counseling approach
Working with individuals to help them achieve happier and more fulfilling lives is my goal. I have a genuine concern for people and a sincere desire to help others. As a therapist I offer support, encouragement, insight, and understanding.
I use a number of evidence-based therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Person Centered therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). As a Christian therapist I integrate a Christian worldview with traditional therapy practices. Together we can help you achieve mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.
my statement of faith
God is the Creator of the universe. He is an awesome God who loves us and wants the very best for us.
Jesus is the Son of God. He died on the cross so that you and I would have the right to eternal life.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is our Comforter. The Holy Spirit provides direction and guidance. The Holy Spirit is our Helper.
The Bible is God’s personal message to those who want to know more about Him and want to have a close relationship with Him. The Bible is the inerrant Word of God.
Grace and Truth
God showers us with grace. Grace is God’s unmerited favor. There is nothing we can do to earn grace. Jesus is the perfect example of grace and truth.
Our time on earth is temporary. Living a life that is pleasing to God leads to everlasting life.
God ordains marriages. The first marriage took place in the Garden of Eden between Adam and Eve. A marriage provides a unique opportunity to reflect God’s love.
***This statement does not exhaust the extent of my faith. The Bible is the sole and final source of all that I hold true, and for the purposes of this counseling practice, as sole proprietor I serve as the final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application within it.
